Ghana star Mohammed Kudus has expressed the team’s eagerness to be at the next World Cup regardless of how that goal is achieved.
The 23-year-old has been a key player for the Black Stars in recent years and has largely been involved in the team’s recent competitive games including the qualifiers for the World Cup.
He lasted 88 minutes in Ghana’s previous game against Mali helping them to record a crucial 2-1 victory to boost their chances.
Ahead of their next game against Central African Republic, the West Ham United midfielder is confident of a World Cup spot for the Black Stars.
“The belief has always been there, we all want to go the World Cup. That is our ultimate goal, it doesn’t matter how we get it, our coach has his tactics but sometimes the game gets tougher but we just have to do our best and get the results,” he said.
“Personally, in every game whether in Ghana or Europe my motive is the same to win.
We are all a team whether I score or anyone scores, it’s a team play. We started playing from Ghana before leaving so there is no excuse. I just do my best to get the team winning.”
Currently Ghana lie third on the standings of Group I tied on points with Madagascar and Comoros who sit first and second respectively.
A win will see the Black Stars top the group on Monday night while awaiting the result of other fixtures of the round.
