Kwame Yogot born Kyeremateng Kenneth is a Ghanaian artist who hails from Assin Bereku in the central region of Ghana. Gaining his breakthrough hit song from 2021 with the title biibi besi which featured Kuami Eugen code named rock star. The catchy rhythmic and aspirational lyrics which resonated with its listeners was the reason the song gained significant profile in the entertainment industry in Ghana.
On Movement TV entertainment talk show hosted by Cindy, he revealed how he kwame yogot was a humble darling boy at home known as kyeremateng Kenneth whiles he was popularly known as 2pm at school. The nickname 2 pm went so viral so much that his real name was nearly forgotten. He was addicted to the music life so much that all efforts were channeled to his music. During vacations, whiles all students took their terminal reports home he kwame yogot never showed his parents any report not even one terminal report. This triggered his mother who complained to his dad about kyeremateng not showing any terminal reports from the school.
This triggered his father to visit the school to inquire into this matter. Funny enough, when the father got to the school, he was asking around for Kenneth. According to him, he is the father of Kenneth Kyeremateng. But no one seem to know who Kenneth kyeremateng was. After asking around for a while, he was asked to describe his son. All descriptions pointed to 2 pm but he said that isn’t his son. The students doubted if the same 2 pm is the same kyeremateng. Later when they brought him, his father was shocked to know that, his humble good son from home was the same 2 pm rap artist in school
As all parents will react, he was shocked but came to accept his son and supported him along the line. 2 pm is the same person who has matured into Kwame Yogot entertaining us with good music like Biibi Besi which was a household music.
